Final MSSH MEGA Reunion

Event Date: 4/22/2017

Event time: 7:00:00 PM

Phone: 305.775.4094

Address: Canal Street in Miami Springs

In 2009, Cesar Nunez, Nestor Suarez, and Jorge DJ Wi-Wi started the Miami Springs Senior High MEGA Reunion. It was an event to get the folks who grew up in Miami Springs and had some of their favorite memories at Miami Springs Senior High to come back and reconnect. Using social media and MiamiSprings.com, we reconnected with thousands of former Miami Springs Golden Hawks to have a fun and FREE event during the annual River Cities Festival in downtown Miami Springs.

We`ve had a major blast all these years and we are incredibly grateful to you...the people who have come out to the MSSH MEGA Reunion for a night of fun, a night of reconnecting with old friends, a night of sharing memories...all while dancing and drinking and enjoying each other`s company.

After 9 years, we want to say THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU for making this a wild ride.

And what better way to celebrate, but to do it ONE LAST TIME!

So, on behalf of Cesar and Jorge, I`d like to invite every single Golden Hawk, every single person who ever went to Miami Springs Senior High, to come down for ONE FINAL MEGA Reunion.

If you`ve been at one of the MEGA Reunions, you know that it`s always a blast to come down and meet up with old friends. It`s a FREE event! It`s casual. It`s outdoors. It`s family friendly. And it all happens on the Saturday night of the Springs River Festival. Here`s a quick video of some of the fun you may have missed:

Our meeting location is on canal street and Jorge, DJ Wi-Wi will be ready to spin great music from all the eras. Cesar Nunez will be collecting toys for Angels Helping Angels.

But the most important piece is you. It`s only fun when you come on down to the Miami Springs Senior High MEGA Reunion.

Now, in case I wasn`t clear. This is the last, final, MSSH MEGA Reunion ever! You don`t want to say you missed going to one of the best events to catch up with old friends ever! And unlike the fancier, formal, and sometimes expensive reunions for just a single graduating class, this event is casual, very informal, and FREE! Okay, you`ll want to bring some cash for food and drinks, but it`s doing the Festival and everything is reasonably priced.

Okay, you`ve been warned! This is your LAST CHANCE to catch up with friends you may not have seen in decades and possibly never see again. So on Saturday, April 22nd, there`s only one place to be. And that`s in downtown Miami Springs.

What is a MEGA Reunion?

A MEGA Reunion invites every graduating class. That means it doesn`t matter if you graduated from Miami Springs Senior High in 1966 or 2016, you`re invited to attend the Miami Springs Senior High MEGA Reunion!

Where is it held?

It`s in downtown Miami Springs during the annual River Cities Festival. That means there are plenty of food vendors, drinks, music, and even rides for kids. It`s a fun, festive atmosphere the whole family can enjoy.

How much does it cost?

It`s FREE to attend. You may have to pay to park and you`ll want to bring some cash for food and drinks.

Can I see pictures from prior years` events?

Absolutely. Just click on the galleries below:

Beautiful Miami Springs is a quiet residential community located in the heart of Miami-Dade County, Florida. Literally, just minutes away from anything in Miami, it's a slow paced oasis within the larger hustle and bustle of greater Miami.

Miami Springs was founded in 1926 by Glenn Curtiss, also known as the "Father of Naval Aviation." Miami Springs is a middle to upper middle class neighborhood with a mix of blue collar and white collar workers. At the core of Miami Springs is a championship style 18 hole golf course that has hosted hundreds of tournaments and celebrities alike.

Miami Springs has a mix of homes ranging from modest to luxury. Most of the larger, luxury style homes can be found along the beautiful golf course.

Miami Springs has a row of hotels along NW 36 Street, adjacent to Miami International Airport. The proximity to the airport and the 10 - 15 minute distance to the Port of Miami Cruise Ships and South Beach makes Miami Springs a popular hotel destination for tourists from all across the globe.

MiamiSprings.com was created in 1997 by local businessman and Miami Springs resident, Nestor Suarez. Nestor loved the city he grew up in and created the first website dedicated to the Miami Springs and Virginia Gardens area. To this day, Mr. Suarez still operates the website providing local news, events, updates, and photos. The website also has a popular (and sometimes controversial) political forum where anyone can discuss current local issues, politics, ideas. Forum posts and Individual comments posted on MiamiSprings.com do not necessarily represent the opinion of MiamiSprings.com, its owner, or its advertisers.
